Who I Help
Getting Started
It might help to know what happens once you reach out to me:
-
The first step will be an initial call.
I’ll ask what has led you to reach out and answer any questions you may have.
It’s not uncommon that you might not know exactly what you want to say. You may even wonder whether therapy is the right thing for you.
This is what the call is for. It usually takes 10-15 minutes and there is no charge for this first step.
-
Following the initial call, we’ll look at an introductory session.
We’ll meet and talk– online or in-person. I’ll learn a bit more about your situation and how I can help, and you’ll get a good sense of me and the way I work.
This will be a full 50-minute session and again, there is no charge for this step.
-
If we decide to continue working together, sessions are typically carried out on a weekly basis at the day/time agreed. That being said, some people need something more flexible and I’m happy to work like that, as well.
Both long-term and short-term therapy options can be offered, depending on what you need.
Where to Find Us
I work out of my home in Elham where I have a dedicated counselling room. I am based on the edge of the village which affords a lot of privacy. People often remark on the quiet peacefulness when they arrive and I hope you find that here too.
The therapy room is just a short drive from Folkestone and Canterbury. Free parking is available.
Online appointments are also offered for clients who prefer to work remotely.
